Long Term Plan

Science Plant Fertilisation

We looked at the different parts of the plant and how new seeds were formed. We used honey to represent the sticky stigma, sand for the pollen and white tack for the ovules. Our hands, which played the part of an insect, then showed how they were carried until fertilisation.

Geography Recognising Countries

We have been looking at the continents and the countries within them. We worked with a partner to find countries in our Atlas and label the missing countries on our maps. We had to look at the shape of each country carefully before matching them.

PE with Wigan Warriors

This half term, we have been really lucky to have Wigan Warriors in to teach weekly lessons of PE. We have been looking at the sport of handball and learning how to move and pass the ball to our team mates.
