☺️Hello and welcome to our reception class page.☺️

The early years are part of the most important time within your child's learning journey. At St. John's Primary school, we aim to create a safe, caring and engaging atmosphere for your children to thrive as they begin their journey through school with us.

The children will be introduced to Soundswrite, our phonics learning scheme and we will let you know what sounds they are working on so you can work with them at home, reinforcing their learning. We will be following our White Rose curriculum in maths to allow the children to embed mathematical thinking and talk.

Our first few weeks in School

Reception have had a lot of fun settling in to our reception class. We have been exploring all the different parts of our classroom, from relaxing in our reading area to creating in our construction and creative areas and experimenting in our outdoor areas. We have laughed and smiled a lot whilst making great friends.
