Home Learning in Year 3
If you are self-isolating at home and your child is in need of some work, please make sure your child can access Purple Mash via a laptop or tablet. Please note smart phones may only work on certain folders such as PDF documents. Also, make sure your child knows their Purple Mash username and password, this will given to them in their home learning pack.
Instructions to access Purple Mash:
- Click on this link to access our school's portal: https://www.purplemash.com/sch/stjohnswn5
If this does not work, click on the 'Information' tab on this website. Choose the 'E-Safety' option and you will find a link that takes you straight to St. John's access area of Purple Mash.
- Type in your child's username and password and press enter
- Your child's profile will be displayed. Click on the 2Do tab at the top (which is a red clipboard with a tick)
- This will bring up all of your children's tasks (school AND home tasks). The home learning tasks will all start with HOME LEARNING in block capitals and are they usually PDF documents. They will also say on the right 'to be done at home' with a due date. After the due date, the tasks will disappear and be replaced shortly after. These tasks mirror what we are doing in class. With the PDF documents, there is no need to save the work on Purple Mash or Hand-In. You just need to open it and follow the slides.
I have attached a help letter to this message below to help you further and explains WHAT I will upload, WHEN I will upload it and HOW to record your child's learning. I encourage your child to return the evidence of home learning when they safely return to school after their quarantine.
Stay safe everyone! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask me!
